As a member of the VEB Berlinplast collective combine “Technical Consumer Goods”, our business finds a new “home”. Primarily, the manufacture centers around small parts for coffee and other kitchen machines. By moving into the PGH building, better conditions are achieved and cultivated.

On July 1, 1990, the FA. Wilhelm-Plastic Plastic Processing company - owned by Reiner Wilhelm - is founded. With just 8 employees, a new era begins for the company’s autonomy and leadership.
The small company with then 12 employees working in two shifts is left with nothing. A fire on the night of July 9th-10th destroys buildings, machines – just about everything!

The time it takes to reconstruct and rebuild everything is bridged by the effort of friends. Soon enough, production kickstarts again in the old company building of FA. Baeuerschmidt. In Autumn of 1994, the new production site is up and running.
At the turn of the century, the once small business now evolved into a treasured mid-sized company. The construction of a new warehouse is completed. The company is certified under DIN ISO 9001.

With the beginning of design parts production for headlight reflectors and the new certification according to the ISO TS 16949 standard achieved in years prior, Wilhelm-Plastic steadily evolves into a recognized supplier in the automotive industry. Even clients from other industries appreciate both the family’s and team’s know-how.
On January 1, 2004, the company is re-established as GmbH & Co. KG with shareholders Reiner Wilhelm and his wife, Ursula Wilhelm, as well as their children, Jana Pfannstiel and André Wilhelm.

Construction of a new production hall with an area of 475 m² and an assembly area of 220 m² with room for ESD. Simultaneously, the construction of a 80 m² tool maintenance area and the installation of the first own Vacuum Evaporation System for design surface finishing.
And once again, investment in the building takes place. With its core competencies in precision injection molding, surface finishing, tool construction and assembly, Wilhelm-Plastic becomes recognized as a solution-specialist partner in the market.

After the passing of Reiner Wilhelm, the responsibilities of chief executive are passed on to his two children, Jana Pfannstiel and André Wilhelm. Together with their mother, they continue to steer and guide the destinies of the growing family business.
